I tried it specifically on the down scrollbar button. I noticed I had some trouble when I used Paint to save the small BMP if I had the view->zoom function on during the file->save. It should work on any part of your virtual desktop (I have two screens wide). The second is similar to the first, but it is more generic. May I suggest ttrying the following two scripts.ĭownloads a GIF image from that page and then attempts to find the image. I looked at you script but found nothing wrong. Are you the creator of Vector TD? If so, great work! Hopefully someone else will provide some better insight for you. You probably just need to fix the syntax, or the image or take something into account. In case you cannot use any of the methods above, your image search method will most probably work just fine. I noticed from your script that you're testing with Chrome, if Chrome doesn't use standard scroll bars, perhaps you can test using IE? The deciding characteristic for which method to use seems to be whether or not the application uses standard Windows controls or not. The Confessor: I only glanced at your code, but I searched the forums and found several threads relating to scroll bar positions.

This is my first question (and hell, this is my first AHK application) I searched for the answer within these forums before posting, and I hope that it isn't so embarrassingly simple that nobody's bothered to ask it yet. Other portions of the window are more likely to start throwing false matches first.

The goal is to use the scrollbar position to indicate when the script has scrolled through the entire webpage without finding the flash window, but the image (EDIT: Image was linked here, but since the problem was resolved below and the image was hosted on my own website, I have since deleted it) (which I've confirmed multiple times to be a true and accurate representation of the relevant portion of a scrollbar in that position, in the form of a 16-by-19, 24-bit depth bitmap) never matches, even when I institute shade variation (which if I understand correctly, shouldn't be necessary). My problem is in the last section, following the final comment.

At the moment, however, I'm hung up far from that eventual goal, in a facet of the code used to scroll through the webpage to locate the Flash window within. I'm creating an application to gather information about the effectiveness of using various strategies while playing Vector TD.
